Gowrikund Arul Manna Nayakar Temple is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Anekadankavatham, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand. The temple shrine about four Thousands Meters above sea level where it is believed that Goddess Parvati(Gowri) meditated upon Lord Shiva. Lord Surya and Lord Chandra are also believed to have worshipped Lord Shiva here. This temple is situated on the route between Rishikesh and Kedarnath. The Four shrines to Lord Shiva in the Himalayas have been glorified by the Devaram Hymns of thr tamil Nayanmar saints of the first century. They are Indraneela Parvatam, Gowrikund, Kedarnath and Mount Kailash. Theertham of this temple is Gnana Theertham. This holy shrine is one among 275 Shiva Sthalam and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Devotees visit this temple to attain Salvation and get relief from incurable disease.
