Lord Shiva has eleven forms of rudra.  In this Ekadasa Rudra Homam eleven forms of rudra are worshiped. This Maha Yagya of Ekadasa Rudra comprises of two sections the Namakam and the Chamakam. The first part of Namakam is a supplication to God to Rudra to disregard his avenging savage, dreadful and appalling frame and transform himself into a serene form and do great to us and Chamakam is to list out the boons to be got from a request to God to Rudra and supplicates him to control and favor our life for a minute disregard his anger.

Ekadasa Rudra homam is very big yagya goes for 5 hours.  As per standard Vedic Scriptures whenever we perform homam for Rudra's ,we should also do yagya for their respective consort's (devi) , Like how vedicfolks doing Dasa Mahavidya Maha Homam along with their respective consort's (Bhairava's).
