Goddess Maheshvari is one among the Ashta Matrika?s.  The name Maheshvari came from Lord Shiva ( Maheshvara) and she came out from the body of Lord shiva. She is depicted as same as Lord Shiva and her Vahana , weapons and other features are also similar to Lord Shiva. She is seated in her vahana ( Bull ) with the posture of four hands holding two hands with sula and damaru and the other two hands represents the symbol of Varada Mudra and Abhaya Mudra.
