Perur Pateeswar Temple is a Popular temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. The temple is also known as Arulmigu Patteswarar Thirukoil. Presiding deity of the temple is Lord Pateeswarar consorts with Goddess Panchanayaki(Goddess Parvati). The temple is greatest attraction is the Kanaka Sabha. Main deity is believed to be Swayambu Lingam. The foot print scar of Kamadenu the divine cow is visible on the head of Shivalinga in the temple. There is a tamarind tree in front of the temple known as Piravapulo means that its seeds will not germinate wherever sown. The temple is built by Karikala Cholan. The temple raja gopuram and pillars of the hall are bedecked with exquisitely carved sculptures. The golden hall with the golden image of Lord Nataraja the cosmic dancer is noted for its greatest attraction of this temple.
