Masaniamman Temple is situated at a distance of 15 miles away from Pollachi. This sanctified shrine attract large number of devotees .

Festival :

An 18 day festival is grandly celebrated in the temple in the month of Thai (January-February. Also New Moon days, Tuesdays and Fridays are festival days in the temple.

     The Masaniamman Temple is open from 6.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.

The Prasad offered in the temple is called Pachilam Marundu. Women consume this and tie a black thread in the hand for child boon and for relief from the effects of spells and witchcrafts.  The Prasad is a medicine for girls facing stomach problems while attaining puberty.

Maasani Amman Temple is located  at Anaimalai in Coimbatore District of Tamil Nadu. This Temple also called as Anaimalai Masani Amman Temple.

The Presiding deity is seen in a lying posture measuring 15 ft from head to foot. The deity is depicted with four hands; two placed on the ground and two raised above.

Girls who face some physical problems when they attain puberty,Mother Masaniamman helps them in such situations ensuring their health.  

It is said that that Lord Sri Rama on His way to Lanka to rescue Mother Sita came to know that Sri Masaniamman representing Parasakti was here.  He made an idol of the mother with the sand available in the crematorium and worshipped.  He made it in the reclining form.

In this temple the idol of Masaniamman is very powerful one and offer blessing to all devotees who have a stunt belief in her. Devotees also expect that Goddess will respond their prayer within three weeks. There is a stone image in the temple representing as a Goddess of Justice with the body of serpent.

  • Do deposit your offerings in the hundi only.

  • Do not come to Temple for any purpose other than worshipping of God and Goddess.
  • Do not smoke at Temple.Do not consume alcoholic drinks at Temple.
  • Do not eat non-vegetarian food in the Kshetram.
  • Do not approach mediators for quick Darshanam. It may cause inconvenient to others.
  • Do not carry any weapon inside the temple.
  • Do not wear any head guards like helmets, caps, turbans and hats inside the temple premises.
  • Do not perform Sastanga Pranama inside the Sanctum Sanctorum.
  • Do not take much time while performing Sparsa Darshanam to God in Garbhagriha.
  • Do not buy spurious prasadams from street vendors.
  • Do not encourage beggars at Temple.
  • Do not spit or create nuisance in the premises of the temple.
