       When the universal mother was gripped the idea of projecting Creaction , First she created Lord Shivaand bestowed eighteen kinds of rare perfections and power and potentialities.


With this Powers Lord Shiva inturn created Lord Vishnu who inturn created Lord Brahma. They got the duties like Destruction, Protection and Creationrespectively.


Maa Siddhidatri is a supreme power to all Gods. Lord Brahma prayed to Maa siddhidatri that creation is more difficult position. So Maa Siddhidatri created arthanatheswar that is half Lord Shiva and half Lord Parvathi.


Prasadam:


      Devotees prepare Pulihora and Garelu as Naivedyam and present it to God and then provide it to family, friends, relatives as prasadam.


Temple:


      Siddhidatri Temple is located at CK 7/124, Siddheshwari mohalla, Varanasi. You can visit Mata temple and get her darshan and blessings.

Day-9: Siddhidatri Devi:
 
     
    Ninth day is Navami and is also called as ayudha puja. It is celebrated to Goddess Siddhidatri. This form of mother provides Siddhi or Knowledge and removes ignorance.


She sits on the white lotus. She is surrounded by Siddhas, Gandharvas, Yakshas, Demons and Gods in the posture of worshipping her. This form of Durga possesses four-arms and she carries mace, the lotus, the conch shell and disc in her four hands.


Devotees who worship her to attainsalvation after enjoying all the pleasures of life. She fulfills all the divine aspiration and destroys all distress of her devotees. This day is also called as Saraswathy Pooja.

    Color for this auspicious day is calculated as Sky Blue. Devotees wear sky blue color dress and pray to Maa Siddhidatri.

Meaning:


Goddess Siddhidatri who is worshipped by Siddha, Gandharva, Yaksh, Gods, Demons etc., holds Conch, Chakra, Gada and Lotus in her hands, giver of all siddhis and victory all over, be propitious to me.


Do's
:

  •  Do Siddhidatri Homam to attain power from Goddess.
  •   Prefer Fasting during Puja.
  •  Visit nearby temple to get blessings from mata Durga.
  •   Do Pooja and Vrat for Goddess to invite her home.
  •  Do Meditation and think of Goddess Durga to lead a happy life.
  •  Do Puja by keeping your books, materials, and things related to work before Siddhidatri mata. 
  •   Offer Cocunut. This brings Success.


 Don'ts:


  • Don't eat bitter or non-veg food.
  • Don't eat before doing puja in the evening, Eat after 6pm.
  • Don't keep any broken statue in golu area.
  • Don't use Leather items this period.
  • Don't indulge in any violent activities during puja days.
