Pillaivayal kali amman temple is located in Sivaganga, Tamilnadu. The importance of the temple is that Goddess blesses people with child boon. The temple exists in the midst of green fields. Devotees firmly believe if they pray here, they will have the child next year. Special pujas are performed on every Friday. Devotees Pray for get relief from chicken pox, Naga dosham and Eye diseases. The theerthanam is given in this temple is known as remedy for chicken pox. The main prasadam in the temple is lime fruits, neem leaves, turmeric and holy water that are offered to amman during prayers.
As per legacy says, People of Paiyur village worship to Goddess Kaliamman to save them from the troubles they were in then. The Goddess responded to their prayers born their thoughts. Devotees people installed the deity in Singarathoppu canal area. They hid her in a well during the muslim invasion. She Was found while desilting the canal. She is now their deity taking care of their well bring.
