Darsait in Islamic Sultanate of Oman is the site of a famous Sri Krishna temple supported by the family headed presently by Shri Kanaksi Khimji of the Khimji Ramdas Group. The Khimjis are citizens of Oman and remain staunch vegetarians and devotees of Shrinathji with roots in Gujarat.
Shri Khimji's grandfather came to Oman in 1870 and the family had a close and mutually respectful relationship with the ruling family which paved the way for constructing this temple.
Regular worship is offered along with chappan bhog for Lord Krishna at the temple and all major festivals are celebrated at the temple which is frequented in thousands by expat Indians working in Muscat.
