The king who was ruling this part gave an order to his accountant to bring all the temple accounts in the next morning. As it was a tedious process, the accountant got sad and worried about the punishment, he prayed the lord. The lord came to save his ardent devotee and disguised in his form, submitted the accounts to the king.

The king was so happy on the result which came up. In the next morning without realising the accountant went into the palace with fear. The king on seeing him came happily and hugged, and this was the ever best detail one can submit. The accountant got confused and came back to his house with lot of prizes in his hand.

The Lord came in his dream and said that it was himself who has submitted the accounts. Hence the lord is called as Ezhutharinathar.
