Sri Rajakaliamman is one of the oldest Hindu temples in the Johor state of Malaysia. The temple originated as a simple shelter built in 1922. Between 1991 and 1996, the shelter was greatly expanded and rebuilt into a large and ornate temple. Later, Guru Bhagawan Sittar decided to cover the temple's surfaces with glass decoration that would shine in sunlight. Between 2008 and 2009, the temple was fitted with glass surfaces and ornaments.

Some 90 percent of the temple's surfaces are covered in clear and colored glass. Purple, green, yellow, red and blue are some of the main colors used in the decorations. Floors, walls, ceilings and pillars are decorated with glass tiles and beads; chandeliers overhang statues. Marble and gold finishing were used in sculpting and finishing the temple's statues.

There are 10 gold-finished sculptures close to the ceiling. Of the two figures on the left, one appears to be lying down and the other crawling, while the one on the far right seems to be reclining too. These sculptures portray the cycle of life, from birth, youth, adulthood, to old age and death.

There are 10 white marble statues standing 120 centimetres (47 in) tall each. According to the name plaques, these are Gautama Buddha, Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Sai Baba and Mother Teresa. The Guru believes that these are messengers of God, and visitors of other faiths will be happy to see them here.

Sri Rajakaliamman Glass Temple is one of the oldest temples and probably the only Hindu glass temple in Malaysia and also in the world.The temple is an important tourist attraction in Johor and has been drawing hordes of local and foreign visitors since its construction.

The temple had its humble beginnings as a hut-like structure dating back to 1922. At least 90% of the temple is embellished by a mosaic of 300,000 pieces of glass of different colours.It contains the Athma Lingam sanctuary of Lord Shiva as a lotus. Devotees can pour rose water on it and perform their prayers.

The Siva lingam is the first of its type in Malaysia which is designed with Mukni rudraksha beads. It happens to have an unusual embossed texture. Each Rudrakshabead is embedded in the walls with a chanted prayer.

Do not perform Sastanga Pranama inside the Sanctum Sanctorum.
Do not take much time while performing Sparsa Darshanam to God in Garbhagriha.
