Sri Sivakozhundeesar Temple Shivastalam is located in the vicinity of Cuddalore in Nadu Naadu. This is the 5th of the 22 Tevara Stalams in the Nadu Naadu  region of Tamilnadu.

Festivals:

Four worship services are carried out each day here.This temple celebrates its Bhramotsavam in the month of Vaikasi (Taurus).

Sri Sivakozhundeesar Temple is located in  Tiruttinai Nagar, Cuddalore, TamilNadu. This Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one among 275 Shiva Sthalams. Sri Sivakozhundeesar temple is one of the Naadu Nadu  Shiva sthalams.

Jambavan is said to have worshipped Shiva here. Local legend holds that Shiva tilled the land and grown 'Thinai' & blessed a devotee and his family, who had promised a meal to him.

God Shiva is known as Sivakozhundeesar and the female deity is known as Oppilaa Nayagi. Pathigam was performed by Sundarar.

  • Do deposit your offerings in the hundi only.

  • Do not smoke at Temple.
  • Do not consume alcoholic drinks at Temple.
  • Do not eat non-vegetarian food in the Kshetram.
  • Do not approach mediators for quick Darshanam. It may cause inconvenient to others.
  • Do not carry any weapon inside the temple.
  • Do not wear any head guards like helmets, caps, turbans and hats inside the temple premises.
  • Do not perform Sastanga Pranama inside the Sanctum Sanctorum.
  • Do not take much time while performing Sparsa Darshanam to God in Garbhagriha.
  • Do not buy spurious prasadams from street vendors.
  • Do not encourage beggars at Temple.
  • Do not spit or create nuisance in the premises of the temple.
