This temple lies near Thiruvennkadu of Tanjore district in Tamil Nadu. It's about 7 miles away from Seerkazhi and 2 miles away from Thiruvennkadu.

Lord Varuna is the Lord of Rain. He once stole the wife of Bhragaspathi the Devaguru and was caught by the Brahma Hathi dhosam.As Lord Shiva had the dharsan of Lord Narayana at the 11 Thirunangur Kshetrams after getting releived from Brahma Hati dhosam, Lord Varuna too came here and got releif from his dhosam.As Arjuna - Parthan got dharsan of Lord Narayana here, the Perumal has got the name Parthasarathy.

Moolavar and Utsavar are found along with Periya Pirati, Bhoomi piratti and Neeladevi as like Lord Narayana, the Vimaanam got its name as Narayana Vimaanam.As the Ekadasa Rudhiran got dharsan here, the Pushkarani is known as shankarasaras where Shankara means Lord Shiva and as an honour to Ganges which is in the Top of Lord Shiva's head, it is also known as Ganga Theertham.

Taamaraiyaal Kelvan Perumal Temple or Thiruppaarththanpalli a village in the outskirts of Tiruchirappalli in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu, is dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu.

Constructed in the Dravidian style of architecture, the temple is glorified in the Divya Prabandha, the early medieval Tamil canon of the Azhwar  saints from the 6th - 9th centuries AD. It is one of the 108 Divyadesam  dedicated to Vishnu, who is worshipped as Taamariyaal Kelvan and his consort Lakshmi as Shegamalavalli.

The presiding deity is Taamaraiyaal Kelvan perumal in standing posture with Sridevi, Bhoodevi and Neeladevi thayar and utsavar is Parthasarathy perumal and Kolavalli raman. Thayar in a seperate sannadhi is called Taamarai nayaki. There are also shrines to Anjaneyar, Krishnan, Parthasarathy and Arjunan in the temple.

The temple is open from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m and has four daily rituals at various times of the day. The Thirumangai Azhwar Mangalasasana Utsavam celebrated annually during the Tamil month of Thai is the major festival of the temple

  • Do not come to Temple for any purpose other than worshipping of God and Goddess.
  • Do not smoke at Temple.
  • Do not consume alcoholic drinks at Temple.
  • Do not eat non-vegetarian food in the Kshetram.
  • Do not approach mediators for quick Darshanam. It may cause inconvenient to others.
  • Do not carry any weapon inside the temple.
  • Do not wear any head guards like helmets, caps, turbans and hats inside the temple premises.
  • Do not perform Sastanga Pranama inside the Sanctum Sanctorum.
  • Do not take much time while performing Sparsa Darshanam to God in Garbhagriha.
  • Do not buy spurious prasadams from street vendors.
  • Do not encourage beggars at Temple.
  • Do not spit or create nuisance in the premises of the temple.
