Story behind Veera Raghava Perumal Temple

Veera raghava Perumal Temple - Thiruvallur sage Salihodrar done penance for one year close to the tank in the sanctuary. In the wake of finishing the pujas in the month of Thai, at night, he arranged some nourishment, offered it to the Lord and was going to consume in the wake of giving an offer to one. An old man showed up before him and asked him some nourishment. The sage happily offered an offer yet it was insufficient for him. The sage gave the entire food to him.

The sage then arranged himself for the following year retribution. The same story happened once more. In the wake of taking the nourishment totally, the old visitor needed to try for a sleep and asked the host sage (where) he gave the old man his space and found that the old man was none other than the Lord Himself resting in his lovely perfect structure. The Lord asked what the sage needed. The sage looked for an aid that the Lord ought not to leave the spot and the devotees satisfying their cravings. The Lord obliged and the sanctuary of Veeraghavaswami came up in Thiruvallur.
