Thiruchendur Muruga temple is an ancient temple located in Tamil Nadu. The temple is one of the six Arupadaiveedu temples of Lord Muruga. The temple has a traditional South Indian style, with features of architecture, with delightful entrance called 'Rajagopuram'. Early the temple was known as Jayantipuram. Devotees from all over it come from to seek blessing from the Lord Muruga. The temple also crowned with the tittle for having the longest devotee pathway. Government has certificated his temple with ISO affiliation, counted 4th in certification. The temple is one of the six major abodes, or sacred temples, of the Kaumaram religion. Soorasamharam, a reenactment of the victory over Sarapadman, and Kanda Shasti, a devotional song in praise of Lord Muruga are performed at the temple. Devotees offer prayers with the combined blessing bestowed with enormous wealth, peace, harmony and never ending prosperity, eliminating all bad and evil effects and negativeness from planetary positioning, free from disease and bondage's.
The temple is auspicious for worshipping the Lord Muruga during the days of Skanda Shasti Festival(October-November). All the annual functions pretaining to Lord Muruga temple are being celebrated in this temple. The main sanctum of the temple is Lord Muruga in a standing posture alongside Shivalingas, which is a throwback to the legacy of the Lord worshipping his father in this place. Before the main sanctorum, in the first corridor, there are shrines, caves and temples dedicated towards his consorts Goddess Vali and Goddess Deivanai, local hunter king Dattatreya and Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu along with Lord Natarajar, Lord Kashi Vishwanath and Lord Shankar Narayan. The temple is one of the six abodes of Murugan are Palani, Swamimalai, Thirupparankunram, Thiruchendur, Thiruthani and Pazhamudircholai.

Auspicious Festival Masi in the month(February-March), Avani in the month(August-September), Vasant Festival in the month of Chittirai (April-May), Vaikasi Visagam in the month (May-June), Skanda Sasti in the month(October-November) are the festival celebrated in this temple. Devotees attracts lakhs of people during this festival of the temple.
